  • Northwoods Orchard & Farm Market  Greenhouse, farm events, homemade apple cider donuts, apple orchard, gifts, bulk dried goods, and apple cider slushies.
  • Wisconsin River Meats We are so lucky to have this award-winning butcher shop and meat market in our area!  It is worth the beautiful drive to visit their extensive shop.  You need to pick up a package of landjaegers!
  • Oh! Arts  A great contribution to our area, this artist co-op showcases many local artists who have their creations for sale.  From jewelry to paintings, pottery, and so much more!
  • Gravity Box Brewing Company  Enjoy this local microbrewery, which produces great beer, hard seltzer, and soda. Check their Facebook for events such as comedy nights, bingo, trivia nights, and food trucks.
  • Mauston's Riverside Farmer's Market TBD for 2025 (lots of parking, playground, bathrooms, beautiful view of the lake, picnic tables) on Mansion Street (behind the library)
  • Free Fishing Weekends On the third full weekend of January and the first full weekend of June, the Wisconsin DNR holds free fishing weekends, during which you can fish without a license.  Give fishing a try!  We even have a loaner site near Buckhorn State Park where you can borrow equipment!  Fishing regulations are still maintained; check them here.
