The holiday season is a time of reflection, celebration, and joy—a season rooted in compassion, togetherness, and the simple magic of being with those we love.  This year, the City of Mauston invites you to come together as one community—to share in the lights, the music, and the laughter that make this season truly special.

As the chill of December settles over Mauston, something extraordinary begins to stir. Not loud. Not rushed. Just quiet magic, waiting to be noticed.  It begins with a single light. Then another. And another still—until the entire town seems to glow with quiet excitement.

On this special night, Mauston streets become a place where imagination walks beside us.
Floats glide down the road like moving stories—lit by thousands of tiny stars, each one flickering with a child’s wish, a warm memory, or a spark of holiday hope.  Trees shimmer in colors you didn’t think existed. And laughter—real, belly-deep laughter—fills the air like falling snow.

Children stare in awe. Grown-ups remember how it felt to believe.  And just when it all feels too magical to be real—he appears.  Santa Claus, high in his sleigh, waving to every face in the crowd. He’s more than a symbol. He’s a reminder. That joy is real. That kindness matters.  That wonder still finds us—especially when we GATHER, TOGETHER.

We, the City of Mauston invite local businesses, organizations, schools, churches, and families to enter a float that reflects the Home for the Holidays theme. From cozy fireplaces to snowy porches, show us what “home” means to you this holiday season.

START: Elmberta (line up) ➡️Left on Division Street ➡️Left on Tremont  END: Tremont/Elm Street

Line Up Time: 5:00p

Line Up Location: Elmberta Street and Maple Ave

- Big entries will enter Elmberta Street from Elm Street.  - Smaller entries will enter Maple Street from Milwaukee Street.

A committee member will check each entry in.
