Property Maintenance

According to the City of Mauston Municipal Code, Chapter 24 Article III, no person, partnership or corporation shall own or occupy any dwelling, premises or building which fails to meet the minimum maintenance standards imposed by Sec. 24-57. Furthermore, no owner, operator or occupant shall cause any service, facility, equipment or utility which is required under Article III to be removed from or shut off from or discontinued for any occupied dwelling or building, except for such temporary interruption as may be necessary while actual repairs are in process, or during temporary emergencies when discontinuance of service is approved by a city official.
